How to sign app

How to sign app

Postby LittleHarry » Sun Nov 17, 2013 11:51 pm

I'm at the point where everything is finished and I'm ready to upload to the Mac App Store. However K Basic doesn't seem to have an option for signing the app file when building. So I am trying to do it manually using the code sign tool in MacOS, but getting errors.

codesign_allocate: the __LINKEDIT segment does not cover the end of the file (can't be processed)

Apparently this error is due to there being too much information in the binary? Is there a set way to compile and then sign the app and pkg files to allow for uploading to the Mac App Store?

Never compiled for Mac, but a google search for the error "codesign_allocate: the __LINKEDIT segment does not cover the end of the file" shows it's not just KB that suffers. Hope you find somthing useful. ;)

Code signing your app,
look here, http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Code ... r_Mac_OS_X
I stumbled upon it while looking for something else.
It's for Freepascal but the explanation works for all binary's but you have to have an developer account.
Kind regards,
