Installing on Window 8 Error

Hi,
I recently upgraded to Windows 8 and have installed latest version from Web Site of Windows Qt Basic OK, Project loaded up OK, Ran compiler and used the option to compile all as compiler has been updated, then got the following error "QT untested Windows Version 6.2 detected".
Any advice would be fully appreciated

Qt is telling that it will not work on Windows 8.
Perhaps you can use the VS compiler but no guarantees i can't test it don't have Windows 8

Hi there,
possibly a Qt update is required in Q7B for Win 8 compatibility since the Win version of Q7B is running 4.8.0 at present.
http://blog.qt.digia.com/blog/2012/11/2 ... -released/I note in the QSysInfo docs for 4.8 that win_6_2 is not included presumably it now is with 4.8.4
I guess B will be able to advise further.

I like to tell you that i am running basic for qt on win8.1. So far i have no problem when i run my code.
After i have intalled q7basic i right click on the Basic4QT icon and click on compatibility tab and then
i check the compatibility mode and i chose windows 7 and then click ok button.
This works fine for me.
