Is there a difference? Open File I/O is not documented in Linux...

Compiled download is 15-August-2012

Latest source is 15-August-2012

Windows
Basic For Qt® (V1.0) for Windows® 7/Vista/XP
2-August-2012

Basic For Qt® (V1.0) for Mac® OS X 10.7 or 10.8
16-June-2012
(64 bit Intel)

Built on Linux Mint 10 for 32 bit (i386)
Basic For Qt® for Linux® (V1.0) (KDE/GNOME)
15-August-2012

Built on Mandriva 2011 for 32 bit (i386)
Basic For Qt® for Linux® (V1.0) (KDE/GNOME)
2-August-2012

Built on Ubuntu 12.04 for 64 bit
Basic For Qt® for Linux® (V1.0) (KDE/GNOME)
29-August-2012

There is some difference but i confused the Mac version with the Linux version.
If you use the build for Linux Mint you have the same as the Windows versions if i only look at the dates.

Following line is not present in function.txt in any Linux version...

Open(FILENAME For [Input|Output|Append|Binary|Random] Access [Read|Write|Read Write] As [#]FILENO [LEN = RECORDLEN])

Henning you're completely right.
I have spent more than a month to find an solution for this problem.
Compared the KBasic source against the source of Q7B but no luck.
Tried several times to fix it in Qt but have abandon it C++ is not my language period.
For now im realising my project in FreePascal/Lazarus.
