I think the VM is not the problem.
Have ported the code to Q7B and can read directory's from approximately 100 till approximately 100.000 entry's (sub directory's) without troubles.
While reading i store all sub-directory's into a QListWidget and no error's at all.
i'm afraid that KB is here to blame.
